Cialis Pharmacology

Cialis is indicated to treat mild, moderate and severe forms of ED in men. Cialis enhances the effect of nitric oxide (which is necessary for normal erection process) by inhibiting PDE5 in the corpus cavernosum of the penis.

This has a result in vasodilation, increased blood inflow into penis and makes possible natural erection upon sexual stimulation.

The drug is rapidly absorbed in blood with Tmax within 30 min to 6hours. Food has no influence on the rate and extent of tadalafil absorption.

The volume of distribution of the drug is approximately 63L. tadalafil is 94% protein bound.

Tadalafil is metabolized by CYP3a4 to a catechol metabolite and then to methylcatechol glucuronide. The drug is eliminated 17.5 hours after oral intake.

The drug is excreted mainly in the feces and in the urine.

Erectile Dysfunction Medical Treatment Method

Everyday doctors worldwide prescribe medications for Erectile Dysfunction treatment, encouraging men, giving them hope to restore their sexual life.

ED medications are called the most successful drugs ever created. Medical treatment of ED is one of the most popular methods giving good results even in very severe cases of the disease.

Medical science is constantly producing new drugs and offering innovative methods to treat impotence in men.  After a great success of Viagra, GlaxoSmithKline created Levitra and Eli Lilly and Company introduced Cialis which was approved by Food and Drug Administration in 2003 after several clinical trials.

For most men problems in bed usually lead to anxiety and self-esteem problems. Causes of erectile dysfunction can be different from physical disorders to psychological problems.

Lots of drugs widely used to treat depression or stress or other conditions have serious side effects causing impotence in men. Antidepressants sometimes make getting erections impossible.

Before the era of ED drugs the common treatment methods for ED were penile implants, penile injections, vacuum pumping and insertion of a suppository into male’s urethra.

The medications for ED treatment have prolonged sexual life for men and make the sexual relationships between partners stronger. Millions of people both men and women are encouraged by the success which ED medications have demonstrated.

Of course these medications have side effects and contradictions like any other treatment methods. Before starting treatment with ED medications visit your doctor and tell him about your problem.
